EasyPhysics1Motion in a Plane
+4 / -1
Find the acceleration of the block of 1 kg mass.
A
2 m/s²
B
3 m/s²
C
4 m/s²
D
5 m/s²
Explanation
The horizontal component of the applied force accelerates the entire system. Total mass \(= 3 + 2 + 1 = 6\) kg. Horizontal force \(= F\cos\theta = 24\cos60^\circ = 12\) N. Using \(F = ma\): \(12 = 6a\) \(a = 2\ \text{m/s}^2\). The acceleration is the same for all blocks.
